intercourse known as dyspareunia. It is just something good-to-know for every
LPN and RN.
If you are going to volonteer to Africa as a nurse – keep in mind that analysis of several studies measuring rates of HIV infection among women using hormonal contraceptives in sub-Saharan Africa has suggested that birth shots could increase HIV risk.
Another thing about birth. New research is challenging what many obstetricians and physician anesthesiologists believe is the best way to position women during labor. „Our research found no evidence of aortic compression in pregnant women in any position and the recommended degree of tilt that most physicians follow did not reduce compression of the inferior vena cava at all.” said Hideyuki Higuchi, M.D.

If you work in clinical or hospital setting as RN it is also good-to-know that researchers find that using a new high-sensitivity blood test with gender-specific diagnostic thresholds could improve the rate of heart attack diagnosis among women. Talk to other medical staff –may be those tests are already available in your facility. Save some lifes!
And the last news are for hospital management. Researchers conducting a financial evaluation of hospital-based violence intervention programs have found that such programs could be a source of large long-term cost savings. Think of this then preparing budget for the next year.
